What’s in a title?

Over the last 3 months, while transitioning from a full time job in the Graphic Arts field to Boonadello Marketing as a full time career, I’ve had a hard time describing what I was going to do. These conversations would happen with friends and family when they would ask me. “Now that you are going out on your own, what are you going to be doing?” I had a hard time aswering them without taking 15 minutes to explain it. I would say stuff like ” I want to help people get into blogging” or I would say ” I want to help people understand podcasting ” or the ever famous ” I’m going into internet marketing ” None of those really told the whole story.

I had an idea pop into my head the other night while thinking about this. I’m going to be an Online Technology Coach. That really summed it up. So when someone asks now, I will just say, I’m an Online Technology Coach. If they ask for more detail, I will give the the whole idea, but I think this will help them understand that I’m the guy they can call if they run across a technology they want to use and understand.

This Blog

This being the first blog post (really) here on my Boonadello Blog, I want to tell you a bit about what you will find here over the next few weeks.

I have a passion for steering people away from the Snake Oil salesmen that seem to be all over the Internet. Spam email that claims they are SEO Experts and will get you to #1 on Google without even looking at or even knowing about your website. It’s not true. Nobody can guarantee you any spot on Google, Yahoo or Bing search engines. I’m here to dispel these myths. I will help you get as good a placement on these search engines for a whole lot less money and trouble then those fly by night companies. If you get something you feel is too good to be true, as the saying goes, it probably is. You can call or email me and I can research it and let you know what is the truth and what is not.

I plan on doing some Videos about this kind of thing. I am also going to do some training videos here that will help you stay away from the bad stuff and get some of the good stuff available here in the online world.
